Can you tell me what Parentally does, what is the mission and what is your role?

Parentally is a service marketplace dedicated to the wellbeing of parents. Our mission is to help expecting and new parents to find all the extra care and support they may need to prepare for parenthood and navigate all its twists-and-turns, from pregnancy to birth, postpartum and first years of parenthood. On our platform, parents can easily search, connect and book services with verified professionals who can offer expertise and hands-on support to complement traditional healthcare. For instance, we refer childbirth instructors, doulas, lactation consultants, child sleep coaches, massage therapists, nutritionists, postpartum care providers, and many more. Additionally, we also provide layers of informational and community support, to make sure parents can find all the support they need, whatever this may be!

How did you find Minite?

I learned about Minite through the FEM-Start Awards. I attended the Awards in 2022 and was super impressed by Micky’s pitch. A few days later I got in touch to learn more about Minite and soon after we started working together:)!

I needed to hire a freelancer to work on a one-off project and found a great one in a matter of days, without having to worry about contract, invoicing, and other admin stuff. It was very convenient.

When and why did you start working with Minite?
We had an intro call at the end of 2022 and I hired my first HF soon after! Recruitment can be quite time-consuming and as a solo-entrepreneur, I value any tool/service that can help make things easier and save time. Minite offered just that: a way to easily find and hire freelance students. I needed to hire a freelancer to work on a one-off project and found a great one in a matter of days, without having to worry about contract, invoicing, and other admin stuff. It was very convenient.

What does your High-Flyer do at your company? How does she help your business?

My first HF was hired to do online research and market monitoring, while building an extensive database of prospects to be used for our sales activities. Her work helped to quickly accelerate acquisition and is something that would have taken me a lot of time otherwise.

What do you see as the main advantage of working with a High-Flyer?
Working with a HF is just easy. Posting an ad is very simple and I got great guidance and advice from Linky, Minite’s COO. Applications came in super fast and from top students only, which is quite amazing. The rest of the experience was seamless and the High-Flyer I hired could get to work quickly and constantly did a great job..

‍What has been your experience working with a student so far?
It’s been very good! It’s really nice to work with someone who’s eager to learn and who has this type of a positive and eager  attitude. My High-Flyer had the perfect skills to do the job while remaining affordable for my limited budget.

But beyond that, I just think that it’s an amazing concept: it helps students make money with a side-job that adds real value to their resume, while helping companies hire freelancers more easily.

Why did you choose to work with Minite, specifically?
I’m always happy to support female-founded businesses and loved the story beyond Minite’s founders. But beyond that, I just think that it’s an amazing concept: it helps students make money with a side-job that adds real value to their resume, while helping companies hire freelancers more easily. And we will continue working with Minite, not only because their mission is great but also because the way they do it is so efficient and friendly!

What’s next for Parentally?

We’re growing and expanding throughout the Netherlands, also planning to fundraise. Therefore, we will also grow the team very soon. I’m very excited about it and also glad that I can count on Minite to find new talents!
