Hi! Can you tell us more about yourself?

Hey! My name is Fabian, I'm 22 years old, and I'm currently studying at the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University. Here, I'm pursuing a master's degree in Management of Innovation. In total, I've been studying in Rotterdam for over four years now, completing my bachelor's in that time as well.

How did you first hear about Minite? What led you to discover our platform?

I initially stumbled upon Minite on social media and then met the team at a university-related event. I immediately signed up and have been a member for a couple of years now. However, I did not actively look for a job until last summer, when I came across a social media advertisement for the job I'm currently working on. It instantly intrigued me and I had to apply!

"The best part? It's the fact that my job is not only super fulfilling but also challenging. Every day is a chance for personal growth, and I'm developing essential soft skills that will stay with me in the future."

Can you tell me more about what job have you done with Minite and what your tasks/ responsibilities are?

My official role is Talent Sourcer, which means that I'm responsible for all the HR and recruitment aspects of the company. It includes recruiting candidates for our challengerships and filling internal job vacancies. However, since we're a small company with around 12 or 13 full-time employees, excluding the challengers who work with us, I also take on various other responsibilities. This includes writing job vacancy descriptions, occasional blog writing, and contributing to the company's strategic planning.

This role has been a perfect fit for me during my master's studies. It's not overly complex but still requires critical thinking and knowledge, especially when compared to working in a supermarket, for instance. It's a bit more challenging and, as a result, more enjoyable.

What do you like most about the job?

What I'm enjoying the most is the flexibility. I work fully remotely, and I only visit the office once every two weeks, just for the fun of it. Being able to plan my hours and being my boss is great. The company is entirely fine with me setting my schedule. So, that's a huge plus, especially when juggling the demands of a busy master's program. I'd say the main thing I appreciate is the flexibility and the ability to determine my work hours based on how I feel at any given moment. As a student, having control over your time and finances is crucial, especially during a master's program. Some weeks are slow, and not much is happening, while others are packed with eight deadlines in just two days. It's a rollercoaster ride, but it's working for me.

"Such platforms are not very common, so if you're looking for a side job that aligns with your studies, it's the ideal place to explore."
